An all-new Ford Edge made its way to the GCC in 2016, and the range got a facelift for 2019, including rebadging the Sport model as the Edge ST. The 2022 Ford Edge comes with two engine options. The two engines are turbocharged “Ecoboost” engines, of which one is the base 2.0-litre and the top ST variant with 2.7-litre. They all get an 8-speed automatic transmission. Standard features on the 2022 Ford Edge Ambiente base models include cloth upholstery, 18-inch alloy wheels, manual a/c, power accessories and a CD/MP3 stereo. Moving up the trim levels, a number of options become available, including a panoramic Vista Roof, six-way power-adjustable front seats, Ford MyTouch touchscreen with SYNC 3 voice-controlled multimedia system, USB and SD card ports, Bluetooth phone, dual-zone a/c, leather upholstery, remote starter, keyless entry with starter button, power-operated tailgate and more. Optional features include HID headlights, adaptive cruise control and bigger alloy wheel options. The Edge ST gets a mild body kit, black mesh grille, body-colour exterior trim and black wheels. Standard safety features include Advance Trac with Roll Stability Control, front and side airbags, Safety Canopy side-curtain airbags with rollover detection, hill start assist, tyre pressure monitor and ABS, with options such as blind-spot monitor, rear camera and cross-traffic detection.
