Ford Mustang 2014 Overview
The Ford Mustang received a GT500-inspired facelift for 2013, along with a few mild tweaks. All Ford Mustang models get a new front-end with revised lower air intakes and a new splitter. HID headlights are now standard on all versions, while GT models get a new bonnet with functional air extractors as well as optional HID foglamps. New body-coloured side-skirts and rear lower bumper as well as new 17-inch, 18-inch and 19-inch wheels are also available. There is now a high-gloss black panel in the rear between the redesigned taillamps. The side mirrors have LED lamps in them that project the Mustang pony logo onto the ground when the doors are unlocked. New colours include new shades of green and blue. The 5.0-litre V8 engine also receives a slight increase in horsepower. The Mustang is offered in metal-top coupe and glass-roof versions. Only the metal-top coupe will be offered with the manual gearbox with either engine, while the glass-roof ones will only be sold with an automatic. The interior comes in cloth or leather, a soft-touch dashboard and aluminium trim, though some hard plastics remain. Standard equipment includes four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, stability control, dual exhausts, power mirrors, front and side-curtain air bags, power locks with remote keyless entry, power windows, cruise control, optional reverse camera, rear spoiler, power driver’s seat and optional panoramic roof on the coupe. Roush models are available in the UAE for both the V6 and V8. Few Boss 302 models, which comes with a higher tuned 5.0-litre V8 engine, were sold in the UAE, and comes only with a 6-speed manual transmission.
