Honda Civic 2016 Overview
The tenth-generation Honda Civic looks to have gone more upmarket, with LED daytime running lights and taillights given as standard, and LED headlights offered as an option. The new body is also said to be more rigid, thanks to the use of ultra-high strength steel. The new Civic is not only bigger, but 31 kg lighter than the previous generation as well. The interior also has been upgraded with better fit and finish, while the increase in overall size has helped improve legroom and trunk capacity. Two engines are on offer in the GCC, the 2.0-litre 4-cylinder motor and the more powerful turbocharged 1.5-litre 4-cylinder unit. Standard features in the compact sedan include automatic climate control, electronic parking brake with brake hold, auto up/down front power windows and walk-away auto door locks. Higher models get dual-zone climate control. All models also get a new centre console which includes a new infotainment system featuring a 7-inch touchscreen display and supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay Under the hood, it gets a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder motor mated to a CVT transmission in base trim. The top model gets a 1.5-litre turbo 4-cylinder. Safety features include airbags, ABS and traction control.
