A new generation Nissan X-Trail debuted in the GCC in 2015. Featuring a completely revised exterior and interior, it gets a 2.5-litre 4 cylinder engine, mated to a CVT gearbox. The base model is front-wheel-drive, but all other trim levels are all-wheel-drive with an electronic 4×4 lock feature. There’s also a choice of 5-seater and 7-seater layouts. Standard features include power windows, power steering, electric mirrors, fabric seats, keyless entry with central locking, manual A/C, AM/FM radio with CD/USB/AUX, cruise control, smart keyless entry with starter button, and steel or 17-inch alloy wheels. Optional features include better entertainment system with screen and more speakers, bigger alloy wheels, parking sensors, rear camera, panoramic glass roof, leather, power front seats, navigation, 18-inch alloys and automatic a/c, among other things. Standard safety features include driver and passenger airbags with optional side airbags, ABS brakes, electronic brake distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA).
